This step-by-step Australian visa guide covers the tourist and tourist sections, the requirements for obtaining a visa and the entire online application process. We have recently updated this to reflect the changes we encountered in our second request.

One sure way to make us smile is to mention Australia. Whenever a friend asks us a simple question about our stay there, we can’t seem to stop talking with passion. Australia is amazing. It is perhaps the smallest continent in the world, but it is full of adventures.

In one month, we visited four cities (Darwin, Sydney, Cairns and Brisbane), three cities (Alice Springs, Yulara, Airlie Beach) and five national parks (Litchfield, Kakadu, Wattarka, Kata Tjuta-Uluru, and the great barrier Reef. This is the most memorable trip we have ever seen and we can’t wait for our readers to discover what Land Down Under has to offer.

Fortunately, it is easy to get an Australian tourist visa. You can still apply through LIVERPOOL MIGRATION, but you can also do everything online.

Australian Tourist Visa or Business Visa?

This guide is for people applying for an Australian visitor visa (subclass 600) online. Under this visa, there are two main flows: tourism and business.

·         Tourist Stream .  According to VFS, a tourist is a person temporarily visiting Australia "for holidays, to visit relatives or friends, or for other short-term activities (including studies of less than three months)". who will assume their own expenses and have no sponsors.

·         Business Stream.  This type is for people traveling to Australia for a trade-related activity, such as attending a conference or meeting a customer. It's different from a work visa, of which nothing is known.

If you are considering another type (long-term studies, work, residency visas), I'm afraid we can’t help you because we have not experienced it.

To clarify: if you visit a family member or a friend but you take care of your travel expenses, you will always fall into the tourist sector. But if you are sponsored by a person in Australia, there is a separate category for this: Sponsored Family Stream. We have not tried this stream yet, so we do not cover it in this article.

How to Apply For an Australian Visa Online:

 

Sign Up For An Immiaccount:

ImmiAccount means an account on Immi.gov.au, the Australian government's official immigration website. It is important to create an ImmiAccount account because the whole process will be done on this site.

Accomplish The Application Form:

Once you have an account, you will receive a confirmation link via email. Check your inbox and follow the link.

Once confirmed, follow these steps:

1. Click NEW APPLICATION. Here, you will be asked what kind of visa you want.

2. Click VISITOR. Then choose the visitor visa (subclass 600). For tourists, this is equivalent to form 1419, except that you do not need to print it.

3. Continue filling in the 20 pages of the form.

What happens if you start filling out the form but can’t fill it out correctly? It's okay. You can SAVE changes and continue editing in the future. As long as you save (and not submitted), you can continue to edit the form.

Submit Supporting Documents:

On the dashboard of your application, you will find a field where you can download the required and recommended documents. The key is to submit as many types as possible. Prevention is better than cure.

That's all! Once your application is submitted, you should receive an acknowledgment of receipt of your application by email.

From there, it will be a nerve-racking waiting game. Note that they will never give you an update from the moment you submit until a decision is made. This means that the next e-mail you receive from them will tell you whether a visa has been granted or not.

Pay The Application Fee:

Online payments are done via credit card only. After reviewing the application form and required documents, you can continue to pay! Although the application rates may vary depending on the type of visa or even the exchange rate, the visitor visa (subclass 600) may cost about 140 USD to 02020 USD in Australia.
